We haven’t played a match-3 puzzle game this good since Call of Atlantis and 4 Elements! Cradle of Rome 2 HD beautifully combines match-3 puzzle gameplay with strategic resource gathering and city building to create one of the most addicting puzzle game for the iPad.
The concept is simple. You must gather resources by matching the resource tiles of the same type. Resources include gold, food, and supplies. You’ll need to gather sufficient resources of each type to build functional structures for your city. New structures unlock new resources or abilities, enabling the player to complete levels that get more difficult as the game progresses.
The levels themselves are familiar, with the goal of breaking all of the colored tiles in each level within the alloted time. As the game progresses, players can unlock new abilities like bombs and fireballs to quickly clear those hard to reach tiles.
The controls and gameplay are silky smooth. You will be matching resource tiles nonstop. Fast tile matchers can even match multiple tiles at a time.
Cradle of Rome 2 is a gem among match-3 puzzle games. It is a must-have app for both casual gamers and hard core match-3 puzzle fanatics. Don’t miss it!
